An excellent Blog Post. Well worth reading. :-)

Yesterday evening I was thinking that up against more than 1.500 entrants I at least had a better chance than winning a lottery...

Although it does sound horribly twee I also thought that eceryone who entered had already won. We have all achieved completion of a short story and getting it into a competition - whether it is our first or one of many.

Okay, this does sound horribly trite - but all those Olympians last year ran a first (and then many another) race before they even approached qualifying for the Games.

Therefore I would say "Well done us!"

I am still pleased with myself that I made this first step. :-)
