Post it all or be patient?

I'm sharing a short story, about 15k in total, and as it's finished I'm impatient to share it all. However, I'm in two minds whether people will prefer this (so they can read the whole lot of they like it) or whether I'll just put people off.

It's a binary poll but any suggestions would be appreciated!

Thanks Jimmy. I started with option 'a' and moved towards option 'e' with a few positive comments. I have chopped up all but the very end of the work, I might just go for it and wait to see if anyone responds!

I think I did read spaghetti blues and I liked it, I must give it another go. I'll look up Emilie too.

Much appreciated!

Steve

Hi, Steven!

I'm assuming that you're talking about posting it here on "shared work"?

You can only post [actually (though not officially) it's LESS than] 3,000 words in the kick-off box on "shared work". This gives you 5 options:

a) Post the best passage of [less than] 3,000 words and hope that people will ask for more.

b) Post the first 3,000 words and hope that people will ask for more.

c) Post a synopsis + the first 1,000-2,000 words and hope that people will ask for more.

d) Post the first [almost] 3,000 words in the kick-off box, and the rest of it in one or more "replies" boxes. Nobody is forced to read more than they want to. (Curiously, you're limited to [officially] 3,000 words for a shared work, but you - or anybody else - can leave a reply that, apparently has no limit as to length. Disadvantage to this option is that you can edit your "shared work", but you can't - as yet - edit "replies".)

e) Post the whole thing in 5 or more "Shared works", labelling each one clearly with "Title", Part 1, etc. Nobody is forced to read more than they want to. (An example of this tactic is Emilie van Damm [et al]'s "THE Saga", so far spread over 3 shared works and not finished yet.)
