Again not so much a question as a report.
My novel 'This Son of York' has just gone live in the US as a paperback. I did this via Createspace and I'll see what happens now.
The UK paperback version is about to go live too, via FeedARead.
All this has used up a lot of time but not a lot of money - just a few pounds on proofs, and £29 on a revision.
The links are at www.tsoy.co.uk and www.thissonofyork.com
On the Kindle side, sales have slumped for the moment, just five in February, according to Novelrank. It's just a matter of pressing on as far as I'm concerned. The main frustration is trying to push traffic to the web sites. I've done the keywords and tags but I expect that the effects may take time to show in Google Analytics.
Nil desperandum!
Thanks, Christina!
T. O., I made the.revision on the Feed A Read physical copy, after I'd bought the proof copy. There was a number of punctuation faults and having a new 'interior' made cost the £29.
I asked the company about this cost...it also includes a new ISBN, and there's essentially no choice. Technically, the 'proof copy' is actually a final, ready-to-sell copy.
The moral: get your original 100% perfect!
Congratulations on your book David. I think that doing a launch/signing would be a good thing. Word of mouth can be a very powerful thing. I'm sure you would be great at it.
£29 pounds on a revision? Is it that cheap?
I would like to receive good tips about revisions (know nothing about them). Where did you ask for one, David?
PS: Congratulations for your achievement!! Hope I reach this level as soon as possible :)
