Prologues and Submission

Just wondering, many agents ask for the first three chapters when you submit your work, so how does that work if you have a prologue of only a couple of pages? Does it count as one of the three chapters, or should I send it as well? Thoughts and comments appreciated, thank you.

Here's a question - do you need the prologue? Several agents and editors I've spoken to are wary of them, arguing that if the content's important, it should just be in the main book itself.

(Having said that, I'd just include it along with the three chapters - stuff like that isn't going to throw them)
