Hello. Has anyone ever heard of this competition, or ever entered?

This isn't a link to the competition's actual website but it does show some comments about the competition. I found another forum discussing it too. It appears to be okay. I'm just not sure about giving passport ID or driver's licence number...
Does anyone have any experience with this one?
I think my starting point in the question to these people would be, and it is something that has obviously stood out to you, why so personal information. Alarm bells would be ringing in my head especially offering such a big tempting juicy prize! but hey I have become sceptical in my old age. beware.
