Qs & As

Is it really necessary to spam the questions and answers board to get your work read? Those who want to read the shared works will. If you have just posted it then it is on the community board for everyone to see. I don't think there is any need to advertise in the Q & A section and the current requests are pushing the real questions off the front community board. I realise everyone wants their work to get viewed as often as possible, but other people also want their questions answered. Can we exercise some restraint before the Q & As are completely lost?

Sorry Victoria-the 3000 word limit sometimes means you can't ask for specific feedback or give background-unless you put it upfront-which I did last time, deleting the ending of my excerpt and not using Q&A. However, I have read shared works proactively because the writer has pointed it out in Q&A.

I think if there aren't enough responses to one's questions, one can repost? Many users seem unaware of the shared works section as well. I will certainly keep your post in mind-there was no intention to annoy or spam. work does get read more often, when one puts in an explanation. It is already a huge leap of faith to share the work and ask to be evaluated.

You are so right in what you have said, and sadly I at some point have committed this crime. But joking aside the hole point of Q & A is to get the answers we are looking for. Flipping it on the other side, it also seems that people don't look at you're work, when you put it in the Share your work section without giving them a bit of a shove. I think we all a guilty of this and I would like to think more people on this site should read the share work section more. I think we all get a bit complaisant with the short Questions, than having to read 1600 words on a story that might not please us. However that is what we up and coming authors look for, and I will be the first to apologize for not reading enough of the sharing your work section. I will also publicly state to say "I will endeavor to read more" I hope others will do the same.

I'M SORRY.
