A question of mood

Do you need to feel yourself in a particular mood (sad, happy, angry) to write ?

Hmmm... I don't think so! When I want, I just start writing..... But it is a separate case when I write poems! I need to feel it to write down at least 1 line!

Simon P. Clark, I'm not yet making it my job, but I'm on the way to be more serious about it (when I'll partcipate to a competition for example) so, you're right about the matter of "mood", I'll have to override it if I want to go one step further !

PS: I also dislike music (however, I read that classical music can help you focus) but I'm not against some noise, the reason for why I let my window open while writing !

I dislike music playing while I'm writing, but as for a 'mood' - if you're making it your job, you have to do it no matter what. Happy, sad, rainy, sunny - writers write or they don't get paid!
