Short Story Comp Shortlist - Admins?

by E.N. Ethan
3rd April 2013

This is a question for the administrators:

Having read the three winning entries of the 2013 Short Story competition, I'd really love to read the 17 remaining stories that made the shortlist.

Would it be possible to post them online?

Thanks in advance,

E

Hi all,

Thanks for your feedback - we stated in the original competition copy that we would only publish the three winning stories. However, all the entries on the shortlist were fantastic.

So, if you were on the shortlist and would like your story to be published, please do get in contact with us and we would be happy to post it on the site.

Best wishes,

The W&A Team

I would love to read them too. The winning entries were wonderful. I imagine the rest would be great reads too.

That said, perhaps the shortlisted writers are entering these stories in other competitions now, so prefer not to have them published. I don't know.

It's an interesting point. Everyone I mentioned to that I had been shortlisted wanted to know where they could read the entries. It would seem to be the norm that people can make up their own minds about who should win and discuss, ahead of the announcement, and perhaps generate more interest in the press at the same time.
