I am delighted for those of you who were shortlisted. I wasn't on the list, so I am sending my story to another contest (like Debbi). I'd just like to say, at this point - I was very disappointed 2 years ago, when my story didn't make it into the Aesthetica Anthology. BUT delighted in the end, because it won second prize in another prestigious competition. And...I DID make it into the Aesthetica anthology this year. So you see, it's not worth wasting energy feeling despondent, because my experience is typical for most writers. I also felt much better after reading Rachel Dunlop's blog (thank you Jennifer). And I'm looking froward to reading the shortlisted entries, because I know they will all be excellent.

I did not make it but I am sending my story to another contest. Constantin, you might want to re-consider posting in Shared Works so you can be eligible to win another prize maybe.

Congratulations! It must be wonderful indeed. Even I, against all common sense, have been so unreasonable as to hope. I'm also looking forward to reading the shortlisted stories. In the meantime, maybe we'll have the opportunity to read some of the less lucky entries, in the 'shared work' section. I'm considering posting mine.
