Somebody

I'm a wee bit confused, having just read the opening for the next free short story competition which says the story must only have 1000 words. A little further down it says, story must be no longer than 2000 words. Is this a ploy to ravish my already overburdened grey matter? Shame on you, this is my first attempt and already I'm been given a rejection slip.

Hi Patrick

If you click on the "Find out More" link just under the Flash Fiction ad, you'll get all the details there. I think you've skipped that and looked at the rules for the short story competition which are below that link.

Hi Patrick,

Are you referring to our short story competition with Retreat West or our annual short story competition?

All best,
