Starting to write!

I have written the cover line of the novel and everything else! But my busy schedule considering that this year is the most vital year of my studies makes it hard for me to sit down and write properly! Can anyone advise me?

Get a page-a-day diary and use it. Working shifts, studying with the Open University and trying to fit in reading means that I can't always get time to work on big projects, but writing every day is absolutely vital for so many reasons. I still have my journal / notebook for developing ideas and projects, but my diary is like a daily trip to the gym; it keeps my writing brain ticking over and keeps me ready to write when I do have the time.

Maybe this will work for you. It's certainly helped me.

If you don't have the time to write because of your studies then why not concentrate on your work? If you try to do both at the same time, under pressure, then both works will not give the best results. Why not finish your studies first? The answer was in your question. you said 'the most vital year'.

Good luck

The BIC method works for me

Bum In Chair - just DO it

I work full time and have 4 children, 2 cats and a husband and aged mum all living with me

I just get up earlier and I don't watch TV
