Using a specific term or name?

Hello;

My question is. Can I use the term 'Hive City' in my own science fiction novel as reference to my own cities?

This term is widely utilised in the Warhammer 40K universe as reference to a large populace within a very largely constructed city. I like the concept from an inspirational standpoint only.

Thanks

Isn't the term "hive" used quite a lot in science fiction to denote the central "home" of usually the baddies. I don't think anyone can own that sort of concept can they, or am I misunderstanding the question, which is not unusual for me.

Exactly Tim, I thought about it last night when I was drawing and I've now replaced the term altogether.

Thanks for the response.
