The W&A Yearbook

Hi all,

I was thinking of buying a copy of Writers & Artists Yearbook 2015, since I am both a writer and an artist (photography mainly), I thought this book would be useful for me to see search for agents or companies, etc.

Has anyone ever purchased the Yearbook? Has it been useful and resourceful for any information you wanted to know about?

Also, I was wondering whether the yearly Yearbook's contents change in terms of publishers and agents, etc?

Thanks in advance

I like to have a copy to hand, there is the same information available on line but it isn't always so easy to flick through.

Hi Janine.

I agree with the above, especially Helen's point about updating every few years. Just ordered my new copy, even though I pay for this site as well. You sometimes cannot beat having the print copy in front of you.

Good luck,

PabloJ.

Hi Jannine,

I update my version every few years as details do change. The library does stock them, yes, but the benefit of having your own is that you can write notes in it or highlight details. It's quite hefty, but is divided into sections for easy access to information on agents, publishers, magazine submissions, poetry, etc, etc, plus there is advice on other aspects of publication. There is also an edition specifically for writers for children called (strangely enough) 'Children's Writers' and Artists' Yearbook'.
