Weekend Break

by Robert Cowles
21st June 2016

In my book I have reached Friday night Saturday morning (5 am) I want to skip now to Monday morning, which is the best way to do this without it looking either daft or frustrating to the reader.

The weekend has no significants to the story line or the characters in the book.

Thank you so much for taking time out to answer my question,

I have now resolved the issue, I sat on it to long instead of accepting the obvious

Chapter break. No explanation is necessary if you have come to a natural break point. Unless it's vital to the plot, you don't have to account for every single day - fictional time is not the same as real time. The only thing is to make sure that you keep a track of which day is which, so that you don't end up with a ten-day week, or a Wednesday happening after Thursday.
