What are the important lessons have you learned from writing?

The most important lesson I learned is to thoroughly plan from the outset. I would have saved myself considerable effort and time.

I discovered, you never hear a bartender or a waiter saying they are a Neurosurgeon, or a Solicitor, just waiting for the right break.

Everybody and his Uncle is a writer. But few actually do the time at the digital coal face.

I discovered, I am as delusional as the rest of the writing fraternity. But hey, its fun sometimes, when it all comes together.

I also discovered there is no spoon or cure;D~

I believe it's essential to read the best literature in your genre by award winning authors. To improve as a would-be author you need to read, read, read. 'Learn from the best' is my motto.
