What came first? Your book or your title?

Just simply that, what came first for you. Your book or your book title?

My book came first (not finished) and have now decided on a title halfway through it. Will it remain that title, I'm not sure yet.

The name of my character of my book (Bastien Bonlivre) came first and although it didn't generate the WHOLE story idea, it was definitely a helpful stepping stone towards who my main character would be (bookish, a bit shy and a storyteller!)

I'm probably the worst in doing things backwards. The title has to tell me something about the book so I'll probably think one or two up in the midst of writing down an 'Ideas' page, well before beginning an outline. It means I usually end up with a list of possibles before I start writing any narrative. I'll probably put together some ideas for a cover, too, but that's pure procrastination :)
