What was the first book you put on your Kindle?

I was given a Kindle as a Christmas present. The only book on it is, Little Women - Louisa May Alcott.

I scrounged the wife's cast-off Kindle - which I originally bought her as a present, I might add - when she upgraded to a tablet.

It's mostly full of research stuff; early 19th century (so out of copyright and hard to find in print) military-based texts. I think the first I downloaded was 'Rules and Regulations for the Formations and Movements of Cavalry' (1801).

Occasionally I'll download a free Kindle book, usually a self -pub, but frankly they've mostly been pretty disappointing. As one who self-pubbed my first story that's a hard thing to say, but it's true.
