I am a recent graduate from university who has always had a keen interest in publishing due to my love of literature (I read Classical Studies at university) and was wondering where I could find a list of publishers that perhaps did internships or work experience for me to try and get my foot in the publishing door. Firstly, welcome to the group :)
Secondly, as others have said, WAYB is by far the best reference material for us as authors but I don't know how much of it is advice especially for publishers. Some of the publishers I have looked at have a 'working here' (or similar) section on their websites.
Or, you could try LinkedIn or similar 'professional' networking sites?
If you're looking for those dealing in specific genres, I found Googling often throws up publishers who accept submissions by email. A lot cheaper (and easier) than posting reams of paper.
