Would anyone like to collaborate on writing comedy sketches with an eye sometime in the future to getting them aired or selling them on, etc?
My comedy tastes are very varied, from Les Dawson to Spike Milligan and everything in between. I'm in the Liverpool/Merseyside area if that helps.
Defnitly intrested! But there are difficulties and questions to be dealt with:
a) Would we actually have to see each other? (Not that you're entirely without a certain attraction but...) I'm based on the Continent, with a price on my head in the UK. No, no! Start again: I have no plans (nor wishes) to relocate to the UK, so that if you're incredibly shy and are looking for a partner who'll deal with potential producers, I'm not your man. Ditto if you want me to spring around agents' offices WITH you, acting out the sketches we'd written. So: no skin off my bum whether you're in the Liverpool/Merseyside area or in the Shetlands (area), but would my location be any help to YOU?
b) What's your take on Peter Cook (the absolute all-time master)?
c) Any more specific on "sometime in the future"?
d) Can we really trust those sharks at , etc? I've heard that they use slave actors, don't always deliver the goods, sometimes credit their cousins with the writing (something to do with taxes, I don't know!). I'm studying to be a brain surgeon and I need the credits for my CV more than I need the money. (Hey! Don't let that put any funny ideas into your head. I need the money, too!)
