Your writing music?

Hey, was just what music you all listen to. LOTR is compulsory for me and I usually listen to other movie soundtracks as well. Recently, "I See Fire" has been a favorite. :) So, anyway- What music do YOU listen to?

I think that this shows there is NO set way or right way of writing we all do it different ways and probably for varying reasons, but the one thing that is the same for all of us is we have to write. So if it's Wagners Valkyries or Will I Am that gets the words out of the head its the story that counts.

Paul.

Oh I see, well Paul for me- I've got it all planned- I just have to WRITE it! So, music just helps me speed-convert my visions into words. :) And Victoria, haha- I do enjoy music that's fast paced and has a sense of speed, it always helps me write, inspiration just keeps dropping off such good ones. Though, I sort of have a select few maybe like a 100.

HI I'm guessing this question is about what we listen to as we write, I need silence I am easily distracted by movement or noise so for me no music, alone and quiet. There is enough going on in my head as I write so it would be something of a battle, it tends to bring me back to reality rather than be an inspiration. Now if you were to ask WHERE is best for me that would be a different matter, I find that a place sets the mood for me and opens my imagination. After saying that movement and people distract me I have at times written in coffee shops and once took myself to venice where I sat in the hotel lounge and wrote for about a week but the view over the canal was an inspiration. That was a trip just for me and writing away from my wife and kids which was a one off but it was good for that time.

Regards Paul
