How to Design a Book Cover

How to Design a Book Cover

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to ‘How to Design a Book Cover’ with Greg Heinimann.

We all judge books by their covers. So how can you design one that stands out?

A book cover is often the first interaction readers will have with a book. In this lunchtime masterclass, Deputy Creative Director at Bloomsbury Publishing and award-winning cover designer Greg Heinimann will take you through the process of designing a book cover from ideation and conception through to completion. He'll discuss common dos and don'ts of cover design across font, colour palette and style. And he'll share his top tips for designing a cover that tells a story and captures a reader.

Greg will also share insight into his own career journey, and discuss how you can hone and develop your skills in this area to begin and/or advance a career in book design.

The key details of the session are below, as well as the link you’ll need to join this online masterclass.
