How to Edit Your Novel

How to Edit Your Novel

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to ‘How to Edit Your Novel’.

Writing is rewriting. Multiple drafts are the way to hone your ideas and get the most out of  your story - and your time!

Join Lesley Parr, author of children’s fiction including Fallout and The Valley of Lost Secrets for this online editing masterclass. Be prepared to hit the ground running with Lesley as she demystifies the process, from self-editing to how publishing professionals might treat your manuscript. At whichever stage you find yourself, Lesley will guide you through the many ways to reach the end of a story.

She'll cover the different editing stages, from first draft to proof reading, and the filtering process looking at how to focus on different elements of your story. Lesley will also explore editing methods, sharing a variety of techniques to help you find the ways which suit you best. Finally, she'll delve into what to expect from the professionals!

Please note, this event is suitable for writers of all prose fiction, not just children's. The session will end with a brief Q&A, so come ready with your questions.
