Publishing 101: Comparison Titles

Publishing 101: Comparison Titles

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to ‘Publishing 101: Comparison Titles’.

Used effectively, comparison titles can be an eye-catching aspect of your book pitch. Very succinctly, they enable you to communicate your intended readership, display an understanding of the current publishing marketplace, and also give a sense of the book’s tone… and all before the first page has been opened.

Too bold, outdated or unsuitable comparisons, however, are likely to have a negative impact on those first impressions of your work, and we’ll be using this short session to offer suggestions about how to approach this device when the time comes to pitch your book.

The key details of the session are below, as well as the link you’ll need to join this online masterclass.

When: 26th January, 12:30pm-1:00pm UK time

Where: Online

Joining Link: Publishing 101: Comparison Titles | Meeting-Join | Microsoft Teams

You can download Teams free on your computer, or join via the web: https://www.microsoft.com/en-ww/microsoft-teams/download-app

We’ll also be recording the session, which we’ll make available to you to watch for two weeks after the event itself.
