Publishing 101: Routes to Publication

Publishing 101: Routes to Publication

'Publishing 101' is a series of W&A events in which we home in on a key element of the submission and/or publication process.Led by members of the Writers & Artists team, in these 30-minute lightning sessions we'll give you everything you need to know: dos and don'ts, working examples, and a chance to ask questions.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to ‘Publishing 101: Routes to Publication’.

There are a numbers of ways to publish your writing. In this session we'll discuss the different routes to publication, spanning self-publishing, indie publishing and traditional publishing.

We'll start by defining what each of these options are, and what they involve. We'll then explore the opportunities and challenges that each of these routes offer, and offer advice on how best to make the most of, and navigate, these. Finally, we'll look at how to take the first steps on your chosen journey towards publication, whether that's employing a designer to create the perfect cover for your soon-to-be self-published book, submitting your work to indie publishers, or querying literary agents.

The key details of the session are below, as well as the link you’ll need to join this online masterclass.
