Writing for TV

Writing for TV

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to ‘Writing for TV’.

Head of New Writing at BBC Writers and Drama Commissioning, Jessica Loveland, joins us to answer key questions about the craft of screenwriting and the process of getting your work out into the world.

Jessica will tell us about what excites her in a script when it comes across her desk, what makes a great script and common mistakes. She’ll discuss the different demands of writing for TV and writing for radio, as well as the key differences between writing your own script and being a scriptwriter on a long-running show.

Plus Jessica will share her insight into how you can get your scripts seen by producers, where agents sit in the process and what BBC Writers offer to support you on your journey.

There will be a Q&A session at the end, so have your questions ready!
