Tiredness starts to creep,
Due to lack of sleep,
Body starts to ache,
Unable to take a break,
As more patients take a seat,
There's no time to eat,
A forced laugh,
At the lack of staff,
Due to sickness and leave,
And would you believe,
The ward boasts,
Unfilled posts.
Next time you're there,
Please be aware,
Of staff trying to do their job,
With muscles that throb,
And of course,
Limited resource.
