Conclusion

As the grandfather with the small boy told him.

“You never really forget your favourite toy.”

I believe this to be true.

A favourite toy is a secret friend.

You can tell them anything and everything and they always listen.

Your favourite toy is always there for you when you need them,

starting school, making new friends,

Illnesses,

happy times,

holidays,

lonely and sad times,

a snuggle is all you need.

They are always on your side no matter what,

eventually becoming worn with so much

love that they have,

patches in their fur,

missing antennas,

even missing hair or clothes.

But in your eyes they are still perfect,

and it is this very love that keeps them

alive for you.

Hollyhop was my favourite and only doll.

I have never really forgotten her.
