Hi,
I'm new to the site and I've just uploaded a draft of a chapter I've been working on. What is the correct etiquette for that?
* Do I just post the shared work and sit back and let it be found or
* I've noticed that some writers have announced their shared work in this Q&A area.

Mark, welcome to the site.
This is not the section to announce shared work, though, many have done so in the hope that people will go to the shared work section, and do a constructive critique of their work.
I don't believe that announcing shared work here will create a greater response in the shared work section. However, it might annoy people who have took the time to post questions, only to find they have been pushed out of the top three by a shared work request.
