What is the rule about double or single spacing please for the Arvon competition, deadline Feb 14?

Yes, double spacing is indeed the spacing in between the lines.

If you are unfamiliar with how to do it in Microsoft word, here is a useful article.

As I understand it, the double spacing refers to the gap between the lines, not the words. I hope that helps.
