Are we allowed to use W&A Q&A for things like this?
I'm visiting Manchester and it might be a chance to meet up with other writers informally. I'll be here until Sunday, the 24th May (at least).
Some friends and I have been trying to organise 2 clown shows for 2 charities (MENCAP and Daytrippers.org.uk) but have run across bureaucracy: no Public Liability Insurance, no venue.
So we're considering going to a park (to be decided) this coming Sunday afternoon (the 17th) to do some hanging about, rehearsing (full dress rehearsal), and , hey!, we can't stop other park-goers from watching our rehearsal, can we? (And if they happen to stub their toe while watching the rehearsal, it's not OUR fault, is it?) Possible 2nd full rehearsal (we just can't seem to get it right) the following Sunday.
More info as available.

I like the idea of the "manure" connection, maybe because my writing is sooooooo close to that. Hope to see you there Jimmy. Like I said that Spanish I copied from the net, shows how much "manure" there is on the net too.
Regards Paul.
Hi, Paul (and all others),
We'll start rehearsing at 2:30, Sunday afternoon in Stamford Park (near the centre of Altrincham). We'll try to get a spot near the duckpond. There's a famous statue of a frog there, and that goes well with my publishing hut, La Gr@not@.

p.s. It's "¡Buena suerte!" (final letter e, not a), but for theatre good wishes it's "¡Mucha mierda!" [Lots of shit!] This may seem like the English theatre's superstitious "Break a leg!", but in reality it goes back to the days when people got around on (or drawn by) horses. Lots of horseshit in front of the theatre meant - of course - that attendance was high.
When I was a student in Manchester, I had a flatmate who was an opera singer. She had a very loud voice, and used to go to the park opposite our flat to practise, and so save our eardrums. She was moved on by the police. Just thought I'd mention it.
Good luck with it, Jimmy!
