Is this an appropriate use of 'Ask a Question'?

Hi.

I haven't been active in this community until very recently. I am currently working on a project which, when it comes to fruition, will see the publication of an anthology of flash fiction on a specified theme. I am inviting contributions from people from all walks of life - not just writers - and the entire proceeds of the venture will go to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, UK. Would it be acceptable for me to give a link here to the dedicated website for the project - so that people can take a look and join in if they feel so inclined?

Thanks

If Hemingway’s friends decided that he had won the bet, they must have thought that those 6 words said all that needed to be said. Yes, of course: a tragic tale of loss. And the loss of a child: the most tragic loss of all. The tears came to my eyes when I read those 6 words.

But you have challenged us to “think outside the box”. What a GREAT anthology this is going to be! Full marks to you, Hache!

All sounds good Hache.

One very small and perhaps pedantic point: The shortest story ever written is generally quoted as; "For sale; baby shoes, unused." making it five words. The bit about the napkin I've never come across before. It's a good exercise in brevity, which is what you need for flash fiction of course.

Good luck. And yes, a very worthwhile cause.

Thanks Jimmy. Good idea running it by Admin - I'll do that.
