Are you writing a series of books with the same set of characters, or do you intend to write more books in the same genre after killing off previously used characters?.
My intention has always been to write a series of books using existing characters.
I am writing adult fiction aimed at the women's market and have no intention of doing a follow on when it's finished. However, as I write I do have ideas for my next books. I am over 3/4 through my second novel and have already started writing 2 others although one is only in note form. Having an idea for my next book always motivates me to get on with the current one.

I am very undecided about how many I should do on the project I am doing at the moment. Idid initially think about doing a trilogy with my present project but I changed my mind and decided on just the one novel but now I'm beginning to think that maybe I'll write a second. With my next project I am hoping it will be more a series of books.

As I was writing book one, I was swamped with ideas for books two, tree and four. I have roughly outlined three more books, and keep adding ideas as they appear out of nowhere.
My private literary editor and I are the only ones who have read through my novel at present.
On completion of the final edit, it will time for the fresh eyes of an agent or publishers reader.
