Have you thought about writing more than one book?

Are you writing a series of books with the same set of characters, or do you intend to write more books in the same genre after killing off previously used characters?.

My intention has always been to write a series of books using existing characters.

Hi Adrian,

Thanks for the the words of encouragement – incidentally I am looking forward to writing book two, though I know that I must finish book one first. Doesn't stop me from noting things down as I go along though :)

I like the idea of including a few pages from book two at the end of the first, a little teaser of what is to come.

I should also mention that tucked away on my hard drive I have my original starting point for my first book, 18000 words that I have ditched as I wanted to tell the story from a different starting point.

Good luck with your writing though, have you had anyone read it through yet?

Antoinette, that is exactly how I felt the minute I hit save on my first, I immediately knew where I wanted to take the story next hence the first three chapters.

T.O. I think you can write two books at the same time, though I'm not sure if you can write two books in a series at the same time. As in I can quite easily shift from my YA fantasy novel and into my Adult Sci-Fi. Though I wouldn't contemplate trying to write two fantasy novels at the same time...
