How to get the writing mojo back?

Hi All, I was quite active here in 2014 until I became unwell and lost my motivation to write. After 4 years of inactivity, I'm trying to get back on my writing bicycle but wondered if any of you had any tips on how to re-capture that missing mojo? All ideas and suggestions appreciated. :-) Mark

I think it would be quite nice if Writers and Artist, or someone, would create a free event for us.

We should all just go to the pub and bounce off of each others ideas and inspire each other. Because honestly, for me, talking about my characters or getting feedback from one section of my work, or even reading other people's work is what keeps me going.

Writing is such a solitary job, but it ironically needs the opposite for motivation.

Hi Mark. I had exactly the same problem several months ago and it's frustrating. To get my mojo back into gear I did something that worked for me. I wrote down the words of a song, I chose Maggie May, and I made the song into a story by starting at the beginning of the song and re writing it. Doing this was easy because the story is already there in song. It worked for me, when I had finished my mojo was well and truly back. Hope this helps.

Hi Mark.

Good for you to have recovered well.

Observe your favourite thing/things and write about how they make you feel.

Watch the sunrise and write about the splash of colours across the horizon or wonder at the white moon against the blanket of the night sky.

(Don't laugh at me)...Hope it helps.

Good luck.
