Hi everyone, this question may have been asked before but I was just wondering if anyone knew how long to wait when an agent has your full manuscript before contacting them to follow up? An agent has had my book for just over two months - they said for me to wait until I hear from them and so I've been sitting on my hands trying not to email, but just wondering if I should send them a follow up message? It may be one of those 'how long is a piece of string' answers but just wondering if any of you have any thoughts or experience that might help me - thanks, Helen

Have you tried sending it straight to small publishers? There are a few that take direct submissions. That's what I've done, although I'm at the same point as you and waiting for decisions on the full! Oh well!
Thanks Katie. I have given it to a group of beta readers, all different ages etc and so far so good, just grammar errors here and there so that's a nice thing, gives me the confidence to keep going with submissions. I am now looking at self publishing as an option too. I guess I just need to be patient, what will be will be :-)
