Importance of a 'Profile'?

How important is the ‘Profile’?

Does it earn its keep?

My ‘Profile’ is lengthy – but needs to be if it is to improve the opportunities of landing bigger fish?

Observations on my ‘Profile’ (with comments on your own) would be most welcome.

ps: Did I do right in adding a film clip?

Edward, I read it, but it is really biography, not profile.

I think the length is counter-productive: a profile should be short and to the point, and yours is neither! I didn't bother with the film clip. I was into information overload already.

Listing your near-misses is not helpful either: almost editor of a school newspaper, almost produced a TV serial, just like the one you mention - really not relevant.

What sells your work is, first and foremost, your work - not a lengthy discourse on what could have been, if only things had been different.
