More than one storyline.

Hi all. Does anyone else out there have more than one storyline going at the same time? I have about four at the moment, all different genres, and I'm managing to write a limited amount on all of them. I've tried to put three away and concentrate on one at a time but scenarios for the other stories jump into my head. Just wondering if anyone can give me any advice on how to keep my concentration on following one story at a time, I'm finding it a bit difficult. Thanks

Thanks Steve. I think it might be best to go with the flow. As you said I also think that if I don't get what's in my head into the story I could lose my creative momentum. I tried concentrating on one at a time but I can't do it while the others are screaming at me to give them attention. Thanks again

I'd agree with Andrew. I have 3 story lines which have some mileage in them for me to explore and I often find my time split between the 3. My concern is if I don't feed all of them with my creative energy then 1, 2 or all 3 could lose momentum. Having said that, I recently left a story line for a while and it gave my mind more time to explore and grow new sub plots and further detail. If you have no deadline go with the flow.

I'm not sure by your question, whether you mean different time-lines running parallel, with one main storyline, or whether you are referring to one or more sub -plots in a single storyline.

I see no problem with either, however, they must serve to advance the plot and storyline.
