Why, when I want to share a new piece of work, can I not delete previous comments i.e. I want people to comment on my latest poem, but they have to wade through 30 comments from my initial shared piece?

I too have found this. Even deleting the shared work. Logging out and then posting something new on a completely different day. All comments still remained.
Unfortunatelly, you can only replace your older post for a completely new one. Don't ask me why...
