I had a publisher expressing interest in my work, asking me to submit whole manuscript then suddenly after five months, it was rejected. Is this common? I'm new to the game.

The answer to that question is probably not enough! I think the industry purposely makes it sound difficult to put off those who think they could just get rich quick. Not sure that's actually working, though. Kindle is putting out the opposite message.
Yes, you should be posting your answers here on your own question, Kathleen. Although it's easy for me to spot when you answer on my question because there is a notification in my email, but still, keep questions and answers on the same thread. Try responding here.
Read the KDP publishing for kindle website very carefully if you intend that route. The tax looks complicated for a start.
That is a bit odd. I think you can safely say the first six chapters were read, but it doesn't sound as if the left hand knew what the right was doing in this case. Best not to disect it. What you can take from it is that someone showed some interest which, as I said, can be used next time you talk to a publisher. Being asked to send a whole manuscript means you have something interesting to offer. Keep at it. Vxx
