An interesting way to plug your Blog I must say.

Fame surfing on a popular book.

So you are, in your own way making it even more popular.

I would also add get your Blog checked for grammar as it is full of mistakes.

About the book "Fifty Shades of $$$$$$" it will be around in ten years if only for

the marketing aspect. How did it sell so many copies etc.

People are, for now, allowed to buy what they want and what they think they want.

So having some sort of idea that it or any book will ruin the world is very naive.

Writers do not, I am happy to say, dictate what the public want to or have to read.

I will leave that to Chairman Mao and The North Korean leadership type of societies.

We still live in a democracy where marketing is king.

If your book is good enough it may sell and then again it may sink without trace.

I would suggest you relax and stop worrying about the effect of bad books on the world.

The world is a big boy and will surive.

Just concentrate on getting your own book edited for mistakes and cleared for publishing.

i got your point but the way it has influenced the industry is questionable

such books are started to get encouragement by literary agents and this genre is getting marketable so isn't it something to think for us writers and industry?

Zohaib - if you mean it's a shame far better writers may never get their work into print then yes, of course it is.

But it seems to me an individual's chance of being able to to influence that is down to fate. People read what they want, steered towards the latest 'bestseller' by the whims of multinational conglomerates. That's life - we might not like it but we're stuck with it.

Of course, one day we might get lucky! Keep the faith ;)
