Shared work and the recent w&a competition

Hello to everyone,

This is my first post anywhere on here, so general greetings and such. My question is whether or not I can now post the story which I submitted for the short story competition in shared work? There is absolutely no way in hell that it is anywhere near a shortlist, given that I disliked the theme intensely, but it would be nice to try and get some general feedback.

I do have a semi-objective reader, however this person openly admits that they dislike fiction, to the extent that 90% of the books they have read in the last few years were non-fiction. But I digress…

Of course, having posted this, I'll probably find that the results have already been published and I've managed to miss it!

Thanks

Fran

Oh, and I also disliked the theme, so I wrote something that would hopefully put them off choosing such a tepid and dull subject ever again. This girl, called Joy, lures two boys up to a remote cliff top in the Lake District where she has sex with them before giving them a choice; either jump over the edge or have their heads blown off with a shotgun. I called it "Jumping for Joy". I'm definitely going to win with that one!

Hi Fran, This is an Open Site, so anything you post here can be seen by anyone in the world! Subsequently it's unlikely that you'd be able to post up any short story for any competition without being automatically disqualified, as most are looking for some sort of exclusivity to your work should you win.

Fair point, thanks. It's pretty much what I thought too, just wanted to check.
