Have you ever written a story (short or novel) based on a song you heard? I was listening to a song today, and well I thought, that would make a good story. So I thought about writing a short story with the same name as the song.
Has anyone ever done that?

@everyone else. its good to know im not the only one. The song that made me want to write a story counterpart was Pearl by Katy Perry... not sure if you have heard it. But I really felt there was a deeper story that could be explored here.
I'm not sure this counts, but I'm working on a short story right now inspired by one of Debussy's preludes (The Sunken Cathedral). I always feel inspired by music.
Yes, I've done that - even put it into a competition... didn't win - but I enjoyed playing with the ideas in the song.
