Songs

Have you ever written a story (short or novel) based on a song you heard? I was listening to a song today, and well I thought, that would make a good story. So I thought about writing a short story with the same name as the song.

Has anyone ever done that?

I heard a song called 'Concrete Angel' and was so moved by the lyrics I wrote a story based on the themes sung. For the title I struggled to find a suitable one so called it 'Silent Angel' for now :)

I have done that before but only with fan fictions. I've never written a full story based on a song, thought I do know people who have and after I've read them I'm always amazed by how they bring the song alive.

I thinks it's always a good thing to find inspiration from things and songs always tend to give me and my friends a lot of it.

But I've never called the story the songs name, I try and weave the song name into the title, but not have it as just the title.
