I am struggling with continuing my work. I know having a busy schedule is no excuse to slack, but by the time I get to sit down and get something done with my writing, I feel so exhausted I just switch off and leave it. I suppose this is somewhat a form of writers block, but can anyone advise on how I can overcome this?
I struggle to start up again after a break. If I go away I may take editing with me but never the first draft to continue. So I find myself finding excuses to start again. I have to actually sit down with the last paragraph before me and see where I go. It is an effort of the will but once started I am back in my imaginative world.
I've been there Salma. There was very good reason for it - but everyone lost out to a greater or lesser degree by my always being exhausted. "Time for me time" isn't just for one's own benefit - everyone gains by it. It enables "me" to be and do better in all things - and that benefits everyone.
... and give yourself a big hug from time to time!

Hi Guys. Thank you so much for your replies. It makes sense, I don't think then, it is writers block. I think Im just exhausted when I make time to sit down and write. David I like your idea, I think I will start doing that, I cant remember the last time I had a moment to myself without ending up asleep!
