I do believe that I am stuck. I feel like my writing has been a bit clunky lately, does anyone have any tips on how to get the flow going again?

I'd like to thank everyone for their advice and I can start to feel the flow coming back. I got a little scared there and started to feel a little useless without being able to write anything half decent. Thankyou for all of your advice again and I hope everyone has a nice easter :)
I don't suffer from writers block. Sometimes I stall, but not for long. It happens when I try to describe a scene in detail, or invent an object. I struggle to find the right words, even though I know what I am trying to say.
When that happens I lie on the sofa and visualize the next scene. I do this until I feel inspired to write down my thoughts.
Try to think about what you are trying to say next. Act the scene out in your mind. Think from the perspective of the narrator, or one or more of your characters.
I suggest you read to keep the creative juices flowing. My tip is to read ten pages a day of an award winning author.
I also recommend reading poetry. Read a poem a day. Start with poems that you like, and then explore more complicated verse. I believe that poetry helps the creative process.
I chill out, read a book, watch a film, work on a different story, find inspiration by spending a day out. Having a coffee and people watching is sooo interesting. I tried it for the first time a few months back when I was suffering a huge Block on my writing and found myself spending nearly 3 hours in the cafe! The people made for great characters....and I got some strange looks *shrug* the writing material I got, far out weighed the dodgy looks :)
I take some time away from my writing, and more often then not I wake at 3 am with a new idea or a way to write myself out of the tangle I found myself in.
