Since I am studying for my boards this year, I hardly get time to take up pen and write. And the problem is when I sit down to write, I don't want to get up for the next one hour at the least.
Also, the school and studies get me occupied so much that i even have to read novels in parts during the bus-rides.
So how do you take out time for writing from your busy schedule and how much do you intend to write every day?
Check out the websites of your favourite authors - many have a blog or video clip about how and when they write. Kate Morton has a clip on her website www.katemorton.com
I've found it helpful to hear or read how others do it. Often we think we should be at our computer putting words onto the screen that will eventually fall into a cohesive structure we call a novel. Scribbling ideas, planning, writing notes... are all part of the process.
Carry a notebook with you and when you have a few minutes either at the bus stop, coffee shop or boring lecture... make a few notes.
Hi Vidhi,
Yeah.. I did...

But I was feeling Irritated and tired by the time I could finish it... I took commerce and so had a lot to do.... :) But I enjoyed it ;) I did! ;) ;)
Myrisha,
Notes sound like a good idea. I'll see how far I'll be able to take that. Thanks :)
Adrian,
Advantage of youth, hmm. Wish it stays as an advantage the whole youth. Thanks :)
Neeraj,
Ha, I can surely relate. And you did Nanowrimo during your board-year? Salute. Thanks for the advice, I will surely keep my priority to studies for now.
