I know this is not really a discussion board, but I thought it would be fun to think about our favorite short stories since today is the submission deadline for the competition. So what are some of your favorites? It's almost impossible for me to not keep going with the list, so I'll limit myself to three.
"Bliss" Katherine Mansfield
"The River" Flannery O'Connor
"The Minister's Black Veil" Nathaniel Hawthorne
Is this question closed? Even if it is, it's still better than not mentioning his name at all. Jorge Luis Borges. I love all his short stories. I cannot believe I was such an idiot to forget about him!
Excellent. Thanks for the recommendations! :)
I too thought that 'Little Eno' was written absolutely beautifully. Besides that, I would always recommend 'Beware of the Dog' by Roald Dahl.
