What do aspiring writers talk about on their blogs?

Hi writers, I'm thinking about setting up my first ever blog, but I was wondering even if I did set one up what would aspiring writers like myself talk about?

I am so pleased you asked this question, Theodore. I have been thinking the same thing. Btw, Louise T's web suggestion is really good.

I think my main concern is about writing something that is interesting to a lot of people I don't know, on a regular basis. I have started to practice without publishing - just to get the feel of it. I suppose it helps when you get some interaction from your readers - it might help inspire some ideas and subjects to blog about - maybe?

Hi Theodore

I've been blogging for a few months and felt the same way at first, but I treated it as a challenge for myself to post once a week, no matter what. I've since found that the topics seem to present themselves as I go through different experiences as a writer, plus it's a great exercise to keep the creative juices flowing. The thing with blogs is that they're usually free to set up (unless you purchase a domain name, which is inexpensive) and you can keep them private until you wish to share them with others. So write whatever you want - that's the joy of having your own blog.

My blog is journeytoambeth.com if you want to have a look. Good luck with the blogging!
