Where is your "space"?

My desk (& my lovely new PC, which I got today - first 1000 words written!) is in my dining room. But I'm not happy with it. And I can't find any space where I might be happy with it! Plus it's too chuffing small...

Caused me to wonder, where are your writing spaces?

I shoved my kids into the same bedroom and converted one of their old bedrooms into my office. Bad Mummy! No, it's fine, their room is large and neither of them like sleeping alone anyway as they are still quite young, so it works. I have somewhere I can shut out all the din, and if the door's closed my partner knows not to disturb me unless he's, well, dying basically.

I find I am much more productive this way, having my own space. But that's not to say I don't sometimes take my laptop and go write somewhere else, out the house. Especially when ideas are lagging. In fact, maybe I should be doing that today...

Well I will continue to write in my unsuitable place until I find a more suitable one, I'm done procrastinating! Been doing it for about twelve years! And if I can't move my desk, so be it, sure I'll get used to it :)

At home my place is the "North Room" between two Billy Bookcases. I write on an 11" Macbook Air linked to a large external monitor and a wireless keyboard and mouse. :)
