The Literary Consultancy: Elevate Your Writing with TLC’s Self-Editing Non Fiction Course

8th September 2025 7:00pm to 13th October 2025 9:00pm, The Literary Consultancy

Join The Literary Consultancy’s Self Editing Non Fiction course. Whether you have a first draft or are an experienced writer, this course is designed to equip you with the necessary tools to refine your manuscript.

This course is open to writers of non-fiction and covers all forms of creative non fiction including memoir, life writing history and travel writing. Come with finished drafts or works in progress and learn how to break down the editing process into manageable chunks.

Led by experienced tutor, editor and author Xanthi Barker, this course draws on TLC’s expertise and insight from three decades of working with writers. Over six weeks, you will delve into crucial elements such as story structure, character development and balancing voice and style, considering each of these alongside your own work.

TLC Courses take a hands-on approach: course modules include practical exercises that can be applied to your own work in progress.  Resulting reflections are applied to your writing, as you build your own approach to editing your work.

Engage in theory, close analysis of published texts, and practical exercises, receiving personalised guidance every step of the way. A half hour one to one is included for each student.
